Team Felice wishes you a very Merry Christmas; filled with joy, happiness, and eternal love. On this Christmas, I personally want to share a thing or two with you guys out there, who on this holiday are looking around and thinking;
We all feel like we've been there, done that. Then something extraordinary happens, and suddenly it feels like the boat we've been drifting on is about to sink. Then you ask yourself in a moment of panic, will this be the end of me?
What if, everything you've always believed in till this day suddenly means nothing to you the moment you wake up the next morning?
It’s frightening, I know cause I've been there myself.
But there’s this quote I found from a book called Living, Loving & Learning that is a compilation of Leo F. Buscaglia’s speeches and it reassured me that all these changes I’ve felt is perfectly human.
“Nothing is permanent but change”
Change is inevitable, it happens in school, in love, in life, and in every corner of your world perhaps. Change can be frightening, yet it can be just what you need sometimes.
As a teenager, we look up to so many different people; call them idols, parents, teachers, mentors, friends and what not. Then when these people you look up to, reveals their flaw. It kind of makes you doubt yourself.
who am I?
Like what Lao Tzu said that everyone is the perfect “they.” We are already perfect. The world is already perfect. We try to tamper with perfection, and therein lies all of our problems.
“We're almost afraid to do anything anymore because we can't do it perfectly.”
Which to me is absolutely horrible! If we are afraid to do the things we enjoy doing, then what would become of our creativity?
“yes, I love me where I am with all my addictions and limitations, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s where I am going to be tomorrow. It just means that I like me where I am now”
(as quoted from Living, Loving & Learning)
