Don't you all need a haunting dreamy vibe songs to day dream or simply makes you enjoy life even more? These girls all have one thing in common, their voices are naturally soothing, haunting, and dreamy all comes in one package. I couldn't stop singing along and making my very own music video in my head. Just in time for the spookiest time of the year. These are my top four singers with beautiful haunting voices.
Emily Reo
I found out about her when I was lurking around 8tracks with "haunted" on it tag. I'm in love. Emily-Reo writes her own dreamy pop songs, and she delivered them with her beautiful mellow, sauntering style. She recently released her new rather lovely debut record, Olive Juice, and it is available at Bandcamp, and it’s the perfect soundtrack for staring out a window and daydreaming. A while ago, Emily Reo did a really simply beautiful job covering "Birds of Paradise" by the Pretenders', i just love how she delivered the song with her own version, which is dreamy and haunting, all i can say is wow.
Birdy
This 17 year old singer was first well known for her cover of "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver, and is well covered with her beautiful haunting soothing voice. Her first album self titled "Birdy" was an album full of her favorites indie songs that she covers with her own version. Even though the sentence "nothing beats the original" but her covers was so beautifully made and her version of "Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous, was amazingly done. The original was one of my favorites upbeat indie song, but Birdy version makes you want to dwell yourself into dreams. Another favorite from Birdy would be "1901" and "People Help the People" and "Shelter"
She is now back with her new album "Fire Within" and she did write her own songs this time. Her first single "Wings" was soothing. Sticking with the big, haunting vocals, Wings is a folky track with an indie edge and it seems fair to say that once you start, you just can't stop listening. The video is pretty edgy too and going for a Gatsby-gone-wrong sort of feel, it matches the ethereal vibe that makes us wish we were prancing about the countryside in some sort of lacy veil.
Lorde
17 year old goddess, Lorde, is a one-woman music team. And is booming all over the world with her hit single "Royals" at this point, i'm sick with Royals playing over and over again on the radio, when there are still a lot of masterpieces from Lorde "Pure" Album. A mix of hip-hop, minimalist, and haunting voice are Lorde. She just released an EP "The Love Club", and i couldn't stop listening to "Team" "Biting Down" "Bravado" "Tennis Court" "One Million dollar baby", and her cover of "Swingin' Party" which was originally sung by The Replacements, she's perfect.
Chrysta Bell
This singer which has continued to haunt me this year, modern American vamp Chrysta Bell, slightly spooky but utterly memorable. As good as the music was - her self- penned single Real Love. It was almost as if Chrysta Bell was operating in the centre of a 3D film noir, trapped in her own lost highway. With a haunting voice, flick knife eyes and perfect poise.

Don't you think one of those Birdy's song that you've mentioned should be 'People help the people' instead of 'foster help the people'? Nice thoughts anyway:)
