Isabel Marant pour H&M

10/26/2013

I'm tearing down with excitement after seeing Isabel Marant X H&M collection! After collaborating with designer Maison Martin Margiela this time last year, now it's time for French designer Isabel Marant to take the spotlight. Amazing items including textured sweaters and jakers with beaded embroidery, slick leather trousers, printed skinny jeans and grey suede ankle boots with colorful tassel detailing.
"What inspires me? It can be a gestures of a woman in the streets, it can be a stain on the red carpet"
"it's things surrounding me that help me to understand what i have in my head"

This is the first time that Isabel created a collection for men, since she never really did a total outfit for men before, and this is her first time doing it for H&M, her collection will be available for women, men, and teens. Doing what she does best she hoped that from this collaboration with H&M she could share this love with a wider public and of course, with less watering eyes prices.

I remembered that i was squealing with excitement when i take a first look at the Isabel Marant pour H&M campaign and lookbook! starring a bevy famous faces including Daria Werbowy, Milla Jovovich, Lou Doillon, Devon Aoki, and Alek Wek.
Isabel Marant pour H&M doesn't land in stores until November 14. But the party got started early last night in Paris, where the brand celebrated the launch of the collection with an over-the-top bash. Marant's cool combined with H&M budget resulted in a transformed Tennis Club de Paris, a venue fashion folks known as the spare and rather sterile home Of Celine's runway shows. And last night it became a French street scene from the 90's!

I always have a soft spot for creative and unique accessories, and Olympia Le Tan always succeed to took my breath away with her amazing collections of clutches and ready-to-wear collections. This time Olympia Le Tan once again amazed me with her new accessorize.

Olympia has art in her genes, as she is the daughter of French illustrator Pierre Le-Tan, so desigm and books were always her thing (passed-down talent). She began to work for Karl Lagerfeld in Chanel's design studio. She then collaborated with designers such as Balmain for example. In 2009, she launched her first “You Can’t Judge A Book By Its Cover” book clutch collection and all those self-proclaimed fashionista have been grabbing for her handbags ever since.Olympia Le-Tan's artistic collection was inspired by classic book covers until unusual things, and transforms them into clutches and accessories. From the hand made embroidery to the Liberty-print lining, exquisite attention is lavished on every detail.

As were getting closer to Halloween, Olympia created a new clutch that she entitled "Dracula" clutch, Which turned out to be a tribute to Bram Stoker's 1897 Gothic horror novel, Dracula. It's a match made in heaven for all of you horror novel fans! Such a perfect piece for a Halloween night or parties, even though these sleek clutches cost a fortune, starting from $1000 per item. But still, i think these compact pieces will accessorize and add a dose of personality to your sleek day time look with their originality!

Charlotte Olympia Halloween Collection

10/17/2013

I've always had such a soft spot towards Halloween festivities (and other holiday festivities in general for that matter). I love to see how people get so into the mood of the season. I love seeing them getting dressed up and decorating their homes in order to celebrate the season, although getting overboard with the festivities of the season is not something I’m a real fan of. And I absolutely LOVE it when my favorite designers create a collection inspired by the festivities of this season.

Charlotte Olympia released a Halloween collection consisting of vampires, spiders, and pumpkin-inspired shoes and bags. And if you’re like me, who likes to keep things muted in terms of celebrating Halloween, this Halloween collection is just for you! I cannot think of any other way to celebrate the festivities of this season (without going too much and overboard) other than adorning these adorable bags and shoes by Charlotte Olympia. Available from Oct. 1 exclusively at Charlotte Olympia stores in London, New York, and Beverly Hills, as well as at charlotteolympia.com.

Rodarte Spring 2014

Inspired by the 1980's glam metal era, the whole collection is absolutely to-die-for. Silks, leathers, animal prints, you name it. I spot two of my favorite models as well walking in the Chelsea gallery space, Yumi and Abbey. Since Halloween is coming up, might as well think about what are you going to be right now so you have loads of time to prepare an outfit for it. You can go for a traditional-ish costume, which is maybe witches, pirates, superheroes, etc. The Mulleavey sisters, as known as Twisted Sisters, Laura and Kate gave us a little inspiration for an easy Halloween costume that you're absolutely going to have loads of fun putting it on and also anyone can pull this really easy costume.

1. Madonna
You can easily put on any of your black skirt, either maxi, mini, everything works, or pants. Pair it up with your black bandeau, and your rolled up blazer. Make sure to put on your gold jewelry, style your hair just like the Material Girl, and rock the iconic red lips.

2. Gwen Stefani
White bandeau, white skirt OR plaid oversized pants, oversized plaid shirt, white suspenders, plus additional hat or maybe a little beret to add a little kick to the costume. Style your hair like Gwen's, and wear your chunkiest boots OR heels to make the whole look like Hollaback Girl's.

Halloween is a tremendous time to dress up as someone you're not for a change. Teenagers may like to dress-up differently for Halloween, they tend to customize and accessorize creatively rather than to just wear another costume that other people can wear as well. The outfits they pair up wouldn't be perfect if it weren't for the striking accessories you wear, otherwise people won't notice the absolutely lavish Halloween outfit you put on. This is absolutely no problem to the accessorized eye, finding accessories you can put on for Halloween can be easy as long as you've got a vision of what you would like to appear as, or elements you want to include.

Headdresses, masks, necklaces, hats, bags, and other accessories are useful for making your Halloween outfit strike. Here are a few "totally Halloween" accessories you can wear, for you fearless teenagers.

There are accessory pieces similar to these on stores where you live, as long as you got trained accessorized eyes! So expand your imagination and keep a look out for these Halloween-useful accessories and make your Halloween outfit look like no other.

I first saw Chelsea on Indonesia's fashion local magazine "Gogirl!" on 2011, she was participating on Gogirl! Look 2011 and won first place. She was gifted with a very characteristic face and I was rooting for her ever since. When I stumbled upon my instagram I found her account and I've been following her since, and I was a bit tad shocked when she followed me back! since then I decided that I need to know her better. So here's a quick chat with model slash actress slash photographer slash designer, Chelsea E. Islan.

1. How did you begin your career? Do you have any modeling experience before you join GG Look?
Before I joined Gogirl! Look on the year of 2011, I have never joined other competitions or similar to it. When I was in grade 4, I got into a modeling class and from then on I have been starring in some TV commercials such as; Walls Ice Cream, BNI, KFC, Holcim, Clean and Clear, Telkomsel and many more. I have been in TV commercials since I was at the age of 2. While being busy with school, I still manage to star in some commercials.

2. Who's your favorite photographer to work with and your favorite campaign to shoot?
There are so many Indonesian Photographers that I like to work with, since I usually have my photo shoots done with Gogirl! Magazine, mostly I have been shot by Arseto Adiputra and Michael Cools. All photo shoots that I have done in the past are memorable and always fun. :)

3. Describe your personal style.
I would describe my personal style as someone who loves vintage style, bohemian and some kind of a gypsy look. I prefer dressing up my self simple but edgy and classy. I love accessories and I always wear bold and colorful necklaces.

4. Who's your style icon and your favourite designers?
My style icon is Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel, I love designers from the 19th century. I also adore Anna Piaggi and Betsey Johnson's designs.

5. What do you always carry when you travel and what's your favourite place to visit and shop?
I always carry my camera, my lomo and my fish eye lens every time I travel abroad. I would visit Art Museums and historical buildings in that particular area. I would shop for shoes and bags, usually anti-mainstream shoes such as creepers and so on. The best place to travel is Rome, Paris and London.

6. What beauty products are must-haves?
According to me, a lip balm, mascara and a cheek tint/powder will do. I usually don't use make up so I just make myself look fresh with those beauty products.

7. What's in your bag? (Things that you always carry around everyday)
Inside my bag will be my iPhone and Blackberry. Cosmetic pouch, comb, perfume, hand sanitizer, wet/dry tissue and my wallet. That's it :)

8. What's currently playing on your iPod?
I am currently listening to Little Talks - Of Monsters and Men.

9. Favorite scent?
I love the smell of lavender.

10. What can't you live without?
My family, nature, food, iPhone, and laptop.

11. How do you pass the time when you're waiting around on set?
I usually share my ideas and talk about great ideas with my co-stars and sometimes I bring a book to read during shooting. My one and only book that I usually bring to the location is a book by my favourite author; Paulo Coelho called The Winner Stands Alone.

12. I admire you in Refrain, how do you prepare for the role "Annalise"?
First of all, thank you :) I appreciate it. Honestly, I did not get much time to prepare myself for Refrain The Movie. Although I am thankful that back then in Junior High School, I have joined several Drama Musical Shows a.k.a Theater Shows and that has improved my acting skills. Therefore, since I only got 3 days to memorize the script, I worked so hard and tried my best to be able to pull it off as Annalise. I did every single preparation by myself for my first movie and that was a great challenge and experience.

13. So what's next, what are you excited about that is coming up?
I am really excited for my second movie called Street Society The Movie. It will be showing in cinemas around January or February 2014. I can't wait to watch it :) I hope in my second movie, I could wow the audience. Just a clue: The movie's genre is Action and Street Racing. Prepare for it and wait for it!

Nike Roshe Run "Metric" Black

10/13/2013

As for Nike getting hyped about the future, this is one of my favorite pair of shoes produced by Nike. The Nike Roshe Run "Metric" design's first impression is one inspired by sci-fi and futuristic inventions, it is eye-catching up-close and simple from afar at once. I find it amazing that Nike had come up with the idea of futuristic and sci-fi based runners by using geometric elements. Nike Roshe Run basically focuses on designs for serving you well on whether indoor or outdoor runs known for their ultra-light weight yet still a fashionable construction up top which made them worn as casual wear as well.

The sleek black design of these pair of Nike Roshe gives you a sense of shadow-like movement of your feet for its monochromatic and deluxe elements of design.

Bodega x New Balance 577

Fulfill your sneaker needs by taking a look at the latest creation by Boston’s Bodega and New Balance, yes it is the New Balance 577 “HYPRCAT”.

The pink, blue and purple accents complete the grey upper of premium suede. These babies are given a special tongue graphic detailing, same as the insoles. The Donegal fleck fleece middle section and also the multicolored shoe laces makes it a little bit - way better! And what we adore most about the “HYPRCAT” edition of the 577 is the translucent ice blue bottom sole.

Chanel has an art attack! this is what happened when fashion and art collaborate and mixed into a huge pile of wow-ness artsy party. This PFW, Karl Lagerfeld turned the Grand Palais into a makeshift art gallery for the SS14 runway show, where the art included pieces such as a marble Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle robot, a giant Chanel logo made out of pearls, quilted iconic Chanel statues adorned the Grand Palais wall. Say, where can we get one?

The SS14 collections included stuffs like rainbow paint palette print, tweeds and knit, finger less gloves, jumbo pearl necklace, black classic heels with high kneed white soc.ks, and grimy looking backpack hand painted with the Chanel logo and covered in a million tassels
